When it rains, it pours!!!

The rains that have been lashing the city
Make me relate it to something, what a pity?

Was it that God was alone, shedding tears
Caused by the whirlwind of his emotions & fears?

It is true that we call it Nature’s fury
I say, all this is a result of his penury.

What I had written on 8th August 2005 follows...

With the Friendship day almost sadly fading away,
The thoughts abt ppl who made a difference
Come to my mind & it begins to sway
Under the breeze of gratitude that can be stopped by no fence

Gratitude for being around when needed
For all my requests, to which U’ve heeded
Apart from these lines, what to write, I dint know
To express to U what I feel & how much I owe

Happy New Year 2006

As the waves of 2005 now slowly recede
Leaving on the sands (of time) a few shells,
Few colorful conches & some worthless weed,
May you have the time to gather the good (conches & shells)
And to walk away from the bad (weed)
Before the fresh waves of 2006 lashes back, which it will, indeed!!!
